Whether you need us for a five minute ride or a whole day, we are here to provide you with the highest level of transportation service. Our experienced drivers can provide service ranging from a preplanned afternoon of wine tasting to a last minute trip to the store or a ride home from a night on the town.
Airport Service: If you are flying into northern Michigan and need transportation, let us know your flight number and we will track your arrival. We service Traverse City's Cherry Capital Airport daily and also Pellston Regional Airport in Pellston by appointment.
Fares and Fees:We are licensed by the City of Traverse City who also approves our metered rates at $2 entry fee + $2.50/mile with a 1-mile minimum. If neither end of your trip is inside the city limits, there is a slightly higher entry fee but the mileage price stays the same. There is a $1 trip fee for each added passenger over two. There is a $5 extra fee for bicycles or pets. Wait time is metered at 55¢/minute.
History: Cherry Capital Cab opened for business on November 9, 2007. We aquired the phone number of 941-TAXI after the defunct T.C. Cab relinquished it. Our well-maintained six-vehicle fleet is made up of late-model minivans and sedans.
Community Involvement:
We are proud to have provided transportation for the prototype rehabilitation program of SaveAVet.com (Feb./09.)
On election day 2008, we provided free rides to the polls for those voters who had no way to get out to vote. One rider, an 84 year old woman, had never missed a presidential election in her entire adult life but had resigned herself to not voting in 2008 because she had no ride. Our driver Dan, who personally donated his entire day for this worthwhile cause, was able to get her to the polls to vote.
Last fall we offered a 50¢ cab fare discount for every canned good donated to the Goodwill Inn Homeless Shelter which helped them meet the needs of the homeless and hungry in the Traverse City area.
